UPDATE: THE HEALTH TECHNOLOGY COMMERCIALIZATION PROGRAM (HTCP)
JUNE 9, 2009 – HTX – Strengthening the Ontario Medical and Assistive Technologies (MAT) business eco-system with the Health Technology Commercialization Program (HTCP)
Thank you for your continuing interest in, and support for, the plan that HTX submitted to the Strategic Opportunities Program of the Ontario Ministry of Research and Innovation (MRI) on March 27, 2009. At the core of the HTCP design is $24M in matching funds for industry-led projects that will advance innovation and commercialization of advanced healthcare technologies, promote meaningful partnerships and create high quality jobs throughout Ontario.
As you are aware, we anticipated a response from the Government of Ontario towards the end of May, 2009. MRI has indicated that there have been unexpected delays and the plan is still under consideration. It is anticipated that we will learn of the government’s decision in the coming weeks, and we will most certainly keep you informed.
